My Job!

I work as a physiotherapist in a private practice. I only work with children from about 6-9 months to 12 years of age. We specialize into pediatrics and psychomotricity. Our little patients suffer from developmental disorders such as minor motor malfunctioning, attention disorders, hyperactivity, spatial disorders, writing disorders, visuo spatial processing disorders and so on. Most of them come twice a week for a 30 minutes session. The treatments last from about 3 months to a couple of years... Those children go to normal school and look perfectly normal. They just have little problems that could have bad consequences on their future if not taken care of. It is a very rewarding job since the process of growth itself makes things improve. I always have to be inventive and imaginative so I never get bored.
The photo is of one of the 4 rooms we have (there are 5 of us working there most of the time). We have plenty of games, furnitures and special accessories which make the children love their treatments. They actually have a lot of fun while they work!

Cotignac in Provence (South of France)

Christoph Oesterheld from Germany (in Zim, he stayed in Bulawayo!) was with us. His French is brilliant and it was really great having him there!!
There's nothing better than a cool beer or a French pastis with a deck of cards after a hard day of painting...

Painters at work!

In July 2005, just after my parents got the house, we went there with a bunch of friends to enjoy the region and to paint every single wall of the building (it was a lot of work but we still "managed" to have fun...)

Cotignac is a small town in the South of France where we've been going on holidays for about ten years. My parents are in love with the place so last year they decided to buy a house there so they could spend more time down South. They go there very often even though it's a 1000km's drive from Belgium but they tend to fly as well.

Whom I live with...

Sébastien and I have been going out together for a little more than three years. We moved in the appartment together last year. He's turning 29 on Sunday(!) and works as a senior auditor at Price Waterhouse and Coopers in Brussels.

A good thing about him (apart from being handsome, funny and clever!!) is that he knows how to iron his clothes... :)

Where I live

I live in a nice little appartment in Brussels. It is a quiet area close to where I work. I've been staying there for a year now and I enjoy the place very much.
